Oklahoma’s Kids Belong - Dashaunique My name is Dashaunique, I am 14 years old. I can be really funny, I like hanging out with my friends. I'm like the mother bear, I take care of everyone. I see everyone as a family. When I grow up I want to be a EMT, I would like to go to UCO College. My favorite subject is science, physical science, that's why I would like to be an EMT. I want to help people. I want to make things better for people. I feel like I want to help people because I never got the help when I was younger until I reached out and finally got tired of what was going on in my life. When I was younger I used to be a bully, I used to make people feel bad, and then I kind of got older and now I'm in my age and people started to bully me and then it hit me that I needed to change. There was times where I just wanted to give up and I didn't want to do it anymore and I had to go inpatient and I was just sad and I couldn't do it and I couldn't take it and it's made me stronger. I feel like the people who helped me in the past, I could be those people, I could be somebody who someone should look up to. So that's my goal and I strive for success. Qualities that I would want in like a family or in a mom and a dad, I would just want someone to accept me for who I am or someone who would be there. I'm not asking for the whole world or anything, I would just want somebody who would be there and be loving and be caring. Someone who won't let me down. I'll meet you halfway if you meet me there.
