Oklahoma’s Kids Belong - Erick My name is Erick and I'm 15 years old. I love to sing. I love to read. Actually I'm pretty good at singing, I mean I think I am anyways so. I also want to go to college but I want to go out of state. I don't want to stay in Oklahoma. I want to do law, like forensic science or I want to be a lawyer. But I also want to sing, like have a singing career. I'm a really sensitive guy, I really am. Some people say I'm very outgoing. I'm very smart. Some of them would say I'm funny and I like to believe I am super funny. When it comes to music, like if it's a really, really good song like Whitney Houston I Will Always Love You or something like that or if it's special lyrics that I can connect with because I've been bounced around from a shelter to a foster home to another shelter, I feel like I don't have anywhere stable to be. So with music I can kind of connect. [No Audio: What would you do with a family?] Well and this might be like from a Hallmark movie or something, but hot cocoa in winter, by Christmas, we're all snowed inside. Nobody can go anywhere. So we sit down in front of the TV and watch like a sad Christmas movie like the Christmas Shoes or the Christmas Blessing or something like that. It's like what I picture a family, also I didn't really have that male figure in my life and it's something that I feel that I need in my life so.
