Oracle – View the Statement of Earnings Hello. My name is Cindy. In this tutorial I'll show you how to view the statement of earnings. I'm logged in as a payroll manager. I received a call from an employee, Christina Ross, who recently moved to Illinois. She wanted to confirm that her withholding was paid to the correct state. I'm going to check her statement of earnings. [No Audio: User selects Payroll Calculations under the Payroll heading] Here I can view the process results by payroll or by person. I just need to look at one person, so I'm going to look at the person results. The payroll that she called about was the January 15th payroll run. By clicking the link on Christina's name I can go to the statement of earnings. Here are the details of Christina's statement of earnings. [No Audio: View Person Process Results: Ross, Christina page is showing] The statement of earnings shows the balance as used to arrive at Christina's gross to net pay, which we can see here on this tab. It also shows the tax reporting unit, the summarized run results for the balances, and the year-to-date results. Below the summary I can drill into the details of the payroll process by clicking on the area I'm interested in. If I open the earnings, we can see Christina was only paid for regular earnings. Below are the balance feeds for the earnings. If she had retroactive payments or balance adjustments on this payroll, they would show here in the balance feeds. If I scroll down, you can see all the details. What I need to look at is employee tax deductions. I can see she does have state income tax withheld. Let's confirm the calculation is for Illinois. Yes, it is Illinois state withholding. I could have also gone into the calculation card. Her card lists Illinois for both her residence and her work address. I want to show you one last thing that will help you in researching payroll calculations. If you click on the paper icon, you can also view other payroll calculation information like costing results, balance results, run results, and messages. On the run results page it shows you the run result values for each element processed in the run. This can be lengthy to go through. If you're looking for a particular result, you can filter what you're looking for. Let's filter for state. Here we can see all the state deduction elements and the run results. This concludes our demonstration on viewing the statement of earnings. There's a lot of information in these pages, so please take some time to explore.
