INSIDE DHS SELF-CARE, NOVEMBER 2014 - GRATITUDE [MUSIC PLAYS] As Thanksgiving approaches, it's time to reflect on gratitude. Counting your blessings adds perspective. Feeling other people's gratitude for you is transformative. You may feel at times that the work you do and the energy you give are not seen or appreciated. Life is complicated and there's always pressure. Give yourself a thank you for all you do. Appreciate how well you serve the world and know that it does not go unnoticed. You may not hear it often enough or see it clearly, but you make a difference to people. Be proud of yourself and look for the impact you're making. Know that your family, friends and colleagues see your efforts and are so glad you're here. Your thank you may come in a smile, a sigh of relief, or a handshake, but it's there. Take the time to thank yourself and take time to take care. [MUSIC PLAYS]
