SHILO W. Whitney Ford: Shilo has been in custody for more than two years. He’s a really great kid. He can make you laugh without trying. He loves to read. He loves the bible. Like, oh my gosh, this boy love God. This boy should be a reverend when he gets older. But he wants to be a NBA player. He’s just a really cool kid. I enjoy hanging out with him. Shilo W.: My name is Shilo. I’m ten. I was in DHS custody for two years. I would like for families to know that I play basketball and I love to be active. Whitney: Shilo would like a family that’s just caring and loves him and makes him feel comfortable being himself. A family that loves education cause he’s so smart. He loves making good grades. He loves to read. He would like a mother and a father. He wants a brother and a sister but he wants them to be older than him so that he can be spoiled. Shilo is a very great kid but he also needs help with just knowing that he is accepted. I would need parents to be patient with him, set ground rules with him. He would need, he doesn’t need a lot of structure but he works great in structure. Shilo: I would like to be adopted because I don’t have any family to live with. Cause without a family, I wouldn’t have anything to do. Whitney: It’s important for Shilo to be adopted because he needs to feel loved. He’s one of those kids where he really just adores being loved. He likes to love. He would be a great brother. He might get into the sibling rivalries with a brother but he treats his foster brother like a real brother. If anyone picks on him, he’s like “Don’t touch him. He’s my brother.” He needs to be adopted just to feel loved and a family that can help him just continue on a great path that he’s already on. Shilo: What I can bring to a family is being good. Being kind, being helpful, and sharing. Whitney: Shilo L. can bring to an adoptive family laughter, joy. He can just bring someone happiness. He’s a very good kid. Shilo: Can you please adopt me? Because I don’t have family to live with. [NO AUDIO] For more information about adopting Shilo W.
