Narrator: Over on the west side of I-35 in Ardmore, DHS clients in Carter and love counties have a combined new office serving the district. Staff from the Marietta office in Love County began merging with the larger Ardmore office several months ago. The new facility offers both clients and staff easier access, more room for visitation and an overall better working environment. And in light of recent budget cuts, it’s another example of how DHS employees have found a more efficient way to operate. Linda Moore: “It's a beautiful building. The staff loves it. And that’s what I enjoy most is seeing how much staff enjoy coming to work. There’s been a really big change i think in how people feel coming to work. It’s a pleasant environment. Staff have the tools they need to do their job—plenty of space, plenty of parking. And it’s a nice, pleasant, beautiful place to come to work.” Narrator: About 115 employees work in the new office, and client’s can now access all services under one roof. Linda Moore says in a lean budget environment, combining the two offices just makes good sense. It helps reduce overhead costs and provides more efficient service for all DHS clients.
