JOYS OF THE JOB

My name is Miriam Hutchins. I'm the receptionist at Ottowa County DHS. Our area has a large Hispanic population and I'm also the translator. I'm the first person the client sees when they walk through that door. I feel it's important that I maintain a positive attitude. I like to encourage the clients to feel comfortable when they need to apply for services.

The other reason I enjoy my job is because I have some awesome coworkers. I enjoy interacting with them on a daily basis. It's important to have someone you can vent to and just kind of talk things over with when things are stressful.

That's why I enjoy being a receptionist at DHS.
