INSIDE OKDHS -- IMAGE IS EVERYTHING (music plays) If you could frame a vision of your future, what would it look like? Creating a vision board will help you focus on what you want and help make your fantasies realities. First pick a size, from postcard to poster depending on where you want to display it. It can be public or private just as long as you see it every day. Then, open up your imagination. Find pictures and ideas that represent your wildest dreams come true: destinations, aspirations, adventures, anything you want for yourself. Next, include all the things you are already grateful for: family, friends, pets, passions, anything that brings you joy. These are the connections and delights that motivate you. (music plays) You can also add your inspirations: beautiful pictures and words that move you, favorite, quotes, and song lyrics. Write some affirmations -- positive statements in the present tense. They're like love letters to the world you want for yourself. These will lift you in any low moment. Use these bright spots to reverse your mood when stress is triggered. No Audio: The following examples are shown on a vision board: “Purity.” “Always bear in mind that your one resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing. -- Abraham Lincoln” “Affirmations: Good things are coming my way! I am a blessing to everyone I meet! All is well! I am loved!” "Tomorrow is another day.” You can also fill your vision board with specific goals for yourself. Spell out clearly what you intend to do. Putting your decision in the picture will keep it in your mind every day. Whenever you notice your goal reminders, take a moment to imagine what it feels like when it is accomplished. It makes the success a reality. As your space fills, you'll see a reflection of who you are, what matters to you and what gets you moving. Framing the future you want will draw positive thoughts and actions into your life. It also reminds you how much you care about yourself. Take Time To Take Care. (music plays)
